Plastering, painting and putting in the doors!

Fantastic progress, despite the rainy season! The building construction for phase one is largely done now and we are at the stage of plastering, painting, putting in doors and windows. Over September and October, the last additions will be made such as furnishing, resourcing and buying the school uniform and bags for our first four classes. 

Two more teachers have been recruited and the team are working with the education office to recruit a third, as per their commitment. Once all teachers are confirmed they will do training (INSET)and visit a model school in a nearby town.

I’m now getting really excited about my next trip in November to the opening of the school and maybe I’ll even teach English!
