Building Futures Ethiopia News Update - January 2024

Hello from Building Futures Ethiopia!

2020-2023 was immensely challenging for us. Covid struck in 2020 and since then there has been civil unrest in Northern Ethiopia. In the face of adversity, our commitment to providing access for all to a good education has not waivered and is now even more important. Climate change and world instability mean that our children need education more than ever.

In the meantime, we haven’t stopped working and the school has now reopened. We now have 355 children and eight grades 5-13!

In 2024 we are moving forward again to complete the final stage of the project. Without this, our children cannot access secondary school and all our good work may not be maintained.

A big thank you!

We’re so grateful to all of you who regularly sponsor our children and who have donated to our project. Without you we could not have achieved what we have.

Raising funding is incredibly difficult. If you or you have any contacts/networks who you feel may be able to help fund us then we would love to hear from you.
